The Marilyn Touch Photography — Marilyn G Russell Grant - Vancouver

I can’t recall the exact date, but I think I can pinpoint the beginning of my photography journey to the year 2010 when I traveled to London for my Study Aboard Interior Design program. It was my first international trip, across the pond, and naturally, I wanted to document everything that was to come on my three-month journey. This is when I fell in love with photography.

While I mostly captured images for fun, documenting mostly architecture and English country homes, I realized back then, that photography was my other creative outlet. I started looking at the world through a different lens, literally and figuratively. Fast-forward to today, I’ve learned a lot about photography and myself, leaned into the type of photography I prefer and have taken a few photography classes. I have also gained a few photography friends. My language is quite different these days.

Hi, I’m Marilyn, a lifestyle and landscape photographer with a deep passion for capturing the beauty of the world. Born in Jamaica and raised in the United States, I spent most of my life in Boston, where I was immersed in a vibrant arts scene that shaped my creative journey.

With a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interior Design, I’ve developed a keen appreciation for beautifully designed environments, which naturally fuels my love for photography.

My studies in London sparked a lifelong passion for travel and a deep curiosity about different cultures. inspiring me to document the world through my lens. I cherish experiences that blend adventure, culture and storytelling. When I’m traveling or capturing moments, you’ll find me enjoying wine, spending time with family and friends, listening to music and capturing the beauty of everyday life.
